CHRISTMAS COMES TO RELTO!

With Zalthor away in the snowy holds of Skyrim it seems Albbus kept true to his word and had the usual festive tree delivered to their old Relto home.

With it comes the fruition of a plan, long in the making, to increase the size of the Relto screens in keeping with larger monitors and faster computers.

Here's hoping that you find happiness and joy in what ever activities you have planned for the Festive Holidays. Have a Fantastic Holiday Season and Far Beyond!!

Christmas Preparations

Been taken away from the web site over the past few weeks, busy with other things. I'm hoping to get the revised larger Christmas Relto in place really soon. The screens are ready, just needs work doing on the bit mapping.

Meanwhile, here's a dazzling little graphic Brian created a few years ago. Amazing how well it dusts off and how good it still looks. Happy Christmas everyone!

SKYRIM - Further Page Updates

I've now played Skyrim for approximately one hundred and ten hours and have updated the short review which I added to my Skyrim Page. I have also started adding some of the very many individual OBLIVION Walkthroughs to the Oblivion Walkthroughs Page.

Also - when time permits - I'm writing a Journal account of Zalthor's journey into Skyrim. It has to tie in with things from Azeroth and D'ni so it's proving to be a bit tricky to get right. That said, I'll add it to the Journal Page when I've got it about right.

SKYRIM RELEASED - Plus One Day

Nope! My copy didn't arrive from Play. I rang and complained and said I want my money back [eventually] then went out and bought a copy over the counter in Game. Fuller story on this, as well as a short, first impressions review, various links and so on at my Skyrim Page now.

As for cheats - well PC Gamers are in luck. The indentical system has been carried over from Oblivion and you'll find two tried and tested codes for God Mode and Money [and how to put in the game codes] on my Skyrim Cheats Page.

SKYRIM RELEASED - At Last...

Well, here we are at long last! There are a number of reviews in already and being shown at Metacritic with an average score across all three platforms of 95%. Some Game sites are giving it a full 100%.

While I know my own copy is in the post from Play I've a feeling it won't arrive later today.

Hi Rez vs Low Rez Skyrim

Xbox 360 and PS3 users:
I've just discovered at lazygamer that if you buy the Xbox 360 version make sure you install it. If you don't have enough hard drive space then you will be forced to play the game in low resolution and nobody wants to do that, do they?

Come on Howard - where are the rest of the Tech Specs???

Just four days to go before Skyrim is released and we still don't have the System Requirements other than for the PC platform.

Frankly, I think it's extremely poor of both Todd Howard and Bethesda. They've been in this business long enough to know it's not just about getting the game out on time. It is also vitally important to gamers to ensure their rigs are primed and ready for the off and not be flapping around at the very last minute having to update a graphics card or what not.

Come on you guys, Tech Specs NOW, please!!

BTW - I've just added a super new map of Skyrim to my Tamriel Maps Page.

Skyrim: Behind The Wall

With the release date of Skyrim now so close I have a serious dilemma.

I want to see everything I can get my hands on but at the same time I don't want to see anything that will spoil the enjoyment of stepping into the game environment for the first time. I'm sure a lot of gamers feel the same about this.

I couldn't however resist a quick peek tonight at the official site just to see if there was anything new and discovered this fantastic new video, just a glimpse behind the hard work that's gone into making the game - plus a few extra shots of what we can actually expect.

Nothing short of superb - just so long as the game lives up to the graphics.

Updating more Game Pages

Following a short break from updates, during which I was busy with All Hallows Quests and Dailies in WoW, I'm now back to finish off doing the basic update of all the game pages.

Redesigned Web Site

A week ago Blizzard Entertainment officially announced at BlizzCon that the next Expansion Pack for World of Warcraft was to be Mists of Pandaria. I had heard previously that we should start to expect the release of this some time during the first quarter of next year.

I followed up links to information on the expansion and was blown away by the sumptuous richness of colours being used. Returning to my own pages to update my World of Warcraft page I was struck by the sheer dour look of everything.

Time for a change, I thought, and what you now see is the end result of a week long quest of sifting through colours, creating buttons, backgrounds and all the rest of it.

The only page I am purposely leaving in the previous colours is for Skyrim as this perfectly compliments Bethesda's own page for the game.

Redesigned 3D Relto

Work is progressing nicely in regard to the complete redesign of the 3D Relto.

I actually started work on this ages ago but it got shelved in favour of playing World of Warcraft and also trying to create and marry up aspects of my D'ni and Azeroth stories. That part too got shelved after it became overly complex to handle!

The break away from such efforts has generated new idea and a whole new enthusiasm which I hope will start to take shape here shortly.

All Links Now Live

It's been a bit of a journey but I'm pleased to report that all my links are now live and working.

During the journey I kept getting taken to YouTube pages - the attached video struck me as a wonderful reminder of just why I have dedicated hours of my time, creative energies and countless web pages to this series of games for so very long.

Revamped Links Pages

Having brought my Skyrim Game Page up to date and done work on the Tamriel Maps Page. I have also completely updated and revamped the format for two of the four Resource Links Pages and am currently working on the third with the fourth to follow.

I'm also working through and updating actual links as I go.

Skyrim Page Live

Completed the basic Skyrim page late last night and have just uploaded the files.

There are also place holder pages for Maps of Tamriel, Oblivion and Maps of Azeroth. None of the place holder pages are yet complete but I'm working on them.

Skyrim Page Update

It's taken ages but I think I've finally managed to collate all the hundreds of snippets I've found into some sort of coherent whole.

Just need to finish off adding a few links and the screens so I can then post the page here.

Skyrim Page Started

Have now created new pages for Skyrim, Tamriel Maps and a few others.

Have found a really good map of Skyrim, better than the usual one in general circulation so will use that as a screen on the Skyrim page to start with.
